Le Tour is an all time favourite for many cyclists, one of those races you must see before you die! We know the Grand Depart is in Brussels on the 6th July and we eagerly await to hear the final details for this three week cycling manifesation to be announced on the 25th October. Rumours state a stage on Ventoux (yepee!) along with Tourmalet, the Champage Region, Toulouse and wonderful Gap!
Valle d’Aosta borders both France and Switzerland most famous for it's ski resorts such as Courmayeur and Cervinia who are hosted by the snow-capped peaks of Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Matterhorn and Gran Paradiso. Down in the valleys are superb world class cycling routes which cover great climbs such as the Great St Bernard Pass, Colle San Pantaleone, Cervinia and Colle de Nivolet. No tour in this region can end without some time in the Barolo Wine Region zig-zagging amidst Nebbiolo grape vines and enjoying some Truffle along the way
the 2019 Giro d' Italia route has been announced and what a gorgeous tour around this magical country. Our tour begins in the Province of Piemonte discovering the Italian & French Alps enjoy a momentous stage finish at Mont Blanc. We even ride Colle delle Finestre where Froome won in 2018. From here we witness the stage start in Ivrea, pop down and watch them suffer over Gavia, cheer them over Passo della Mendola and see them rocket up Croce d'Aune and eventually to the stage start in Treviso - the home of Pinarello.
